Featured Artist: Carolina Arrieta
Ever since I could remember I would entertain myself by drawing illustrations that came out of my imagination. As a child I was in love with fashion, bold colors and hand made details. I grew up in Lima, Peru, a country known for its rich culture and colorful Hand-made craftsmanship. I was always inspired and around the fashion industry, as my mother was, and still is a successful baby clothing designer.
I used to ask my parents to buy me bond paper and black pens and I was a happy girl. I would draw for hours and began to create story books with my pictures. I remember how my dad would sit down with me and help put words to my pictures even before I could read or write. I always knew I was going to be an artist,
